Brian Finney is the author of eight books on subjects ranging from a biography of Christopher Isherwood (awarded the James Tait Black Memorial Book Prize in 1979) to Terrorized: How the War on Terror Affected American Culture and Society (2011). His novel Money Matters (2019) was a finalist for the American Fiction Awards in the Best New Fiction category. Born in England, he taught at the University of London, and, since emigrating, at four universities in Southern California. He is married and lives in Venice, California.
